Bible stories are taught to us, as children, as myths - a unique perspective that acts like an unknown force, shaping our perception such that reading we do not see, and hearing we do not understand: much has been hidden in plain sight on the pages of the Bible. [Just by placing good before evil in reading "good & evil" we think of ourselves as being good.]
According to an acclaimed, more accurate Hebrew language translation, the Ten Commandments should read "Ten Statements" (Deu. Chapter 5) when in fact the Ten Commandments first appear in an earlier writing of Moses, Ex. Chapter 20, where there are "Eleven Commandments" or Statements, reading verse 24, "An alter of earth thou shalt make unto me (LORD GOD) and sacrifice sheep and oxen." [This is a horrible sacrifice of beasts, which Jesus changed into "bread & wine", not in sacrifice, but in remembrance of Jesus and what he did for us.
The Ten Commandments from LORD GOD are concerning "one of the beasts of the field" - man. These ten statements are about the evil, and good, inside every man, woman and child. These are "Statements" about the human beast: Eccl 3:18, "men are beasts". Color, sex, size and shape, whatever, we are ALL of the same one design.
These Ten Commandments reveal the evil inside LORD GOD's creation; for as LORD GOD plainly states in Isa 45:7, "I the LORD create evil".
Now most people have been taught that there is only one God, and that is true in the sense of the way we have been taught, however, we have also been taught that God & Lord God are one and the same, and that is false.
We know from Jesus about the Living God of righteousness, love and forgiveness; that "none are good but God", but who is this LORD GOD that creates evil? And reading Exodus 34:14, we see, "Thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is JEALOUS, is a jealous god." And reading Deu 5:10, we see that "LORD GOD shows mercy (not Grace) unto 'only' thousands of them that love him and keep his commandments".
The Ten Commandments are revealing Statements about LORD GOD's creation in the Garden of Eden . . . . whereas the Garden was an "experimental zone" to make sure Adam & Eve were "evil", and good, before being released upon the Earth. Yes, Genesis esoterically generates the Ten Commandments, revealing the human defects in man. Adam & Eve are representative of ALL humans - "none are good; no not one".(Mk 10:18 ; Rm 3:12)
Adam & Eve were created in sin; not that they sinned and fell, but that they were created fallen - full of sin - and the Garden was the observation area to monitor the human beasts before being released into the wild to multiply.
LORD GOD was testing Adam & Eve with the Serpent and the Tree of Knowledge to make sure his creation was evil, and good, so there would be no access to the Tree of Life, and we would be doomed (attached) to this world of death, forever. [Later it all goes "evil" and is wiped out by a flood, but evil gets on the Ark and Cain's genetics continues in Ham.] Man, like everything else in this world is a duality of evil and good.
All a part of the Trap, the human design is to keep us from eating from the Tree of Life - Jesus. However, we are not the human mammal in which we are temporarily residing. The Master Jesus says, "Do not give heed to religious fables and the commandments of men which turn one from the truth" (Mtt 24:4) . . . . and Jesus goes on to tell us, "Moses gave you not that bread from heaven"; but the Living God, through Jesus, "gives us the true bread from heaven" (Jn 6:32).
"A New Covenant hath made the first old; for if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second covenant" (Heb 8:13,7).
And this is the New Covenant, "that ye love God, and that ye love thy neighbour as thy self: on these Two Commandments hang all the law and the prophets (Mtt 22:40). [DO NOT HURT.]
And then Jesus tells us in Jn 14:21, "He that keeps my commandments loves me and I will MASIFEST myself to him." Blessed are they that DO his commandments, that they may have right to the Tree of Life, and may enter in through the gates into the city, the New Jerusalem." (Rev 22:14)
However, there is a big problem, reading Rev 12:17, "the dragon, the serpent of old, makes war with those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus." And so remember Jesus' admonition in Mtt 10:16, "Be wise as serpents". (In other words, "Know what the serpent knows.)
Don't be deceived. Love is understanding in righteousness. "The law was given by Moses, but Grace & Truth came by Jesus." (Jn 1:17) . . . . and reading Acts 13:39, we see that the law of Moses "does not justify the people in any matter", but Jesus can justify any one from ALL things s-he has done.
On Mount Sinai, LORD GOD was just stating the facts about the true nature of man; that he had already told Moses in the story of Adam & Eve, where he talked about the human beast of the field, the knowledge behind the design of man's evilness, and what one can expect to "experience" while residing inside a human.
Now here is wisdom, "666 is the number of the beast, it is the number of man" (Rev 13:18). Inside every man, woman and child is a "soul" with the knowledge of evil and good; however, there is also the Tree of Life - JESUS - "the light that shineth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehends it not" (jn 1:5), "because the man loves darkness rather than light, because the man's deeds (nature) is evil" (Jn 3:19).
Jesus came to "open our eyes" (mind) and turn us from darkness (soul) to light (the knowledge of the kingdom of God within); to turn us from the power of Satan and this evil world, unto the righteousness and truth of the Living God. (Acts 26:18)
Finding ourselves inside this "fallen state", we are blocked from the Tree of Life by the evil soul: "ALL sin; none are good but God". . . . but wait, reading Genesis 1:31, "God saw every thing that he had made, and it was very good." Upon further reading we find in chapter one how everytime God created some thing - it was good, and altogether, everything God created was very good . . . . so why would Jesus say, "Why call me good, there is no good but one, God" (Mk 10:18)?
In Genesis chapter one God "creates" man in his image (Spirit) - John 4:24 - however, in chapter two LORD GOD "forms" his man from "the dust of the ground" and puts a SOUL into the man, and it becomes "a living soul". Then LORD GOD puts his man to work digging for gold and other minerals; "and the gold is good" (Gen 2:12) Then Eve was made to be Adam's "help meet" in working the mines.
The Serpent was acting evil. Somehow the Serpent possesses speech and divine knowledge. "That old serpent, Satan, which deceiveth the WHOLE world: he was cast out into the earth, and his Angels were cast out with him" (Rev 12:9). Also from scripture we know that Satan, and his Angels, can appear as Serpents - as Angels of Light; where "light" can mean countenance or knowledge.
To Worship & Serve Satan is the purpose of this creation, as can be seen in the Third Temptation of Jesus where Satan offers Jesus "ALL THE KINGDOMS of this world - if he will bow down and worship him". (Mtt 4:9)
The take-away lesson of the Serpent is that when the LORD GOD no longer needs you, or is displeased, he "curses" you; you are always expendable, no longer needed: take heed Adam & Eve - "take heed you who have been deceived."
The "first" and fore most Commandment of LORD GOD is that "there shall be no other gods"; but Eve has the "desire" TO BE AS GODS, knowing good and evil. However, Jesus tells us plainly in Jn 10:34, with reference to the ancient scrolls, "Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods" - and sure enough, turning to Psalms 82:6, it reads, "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High" (not LORD GOD). And so, if Jesus called them "gods", and Psalm 82:6 "cannot be broken", then unto whom the Word of God comes, is a god. And further more, there is Paul in Acts 17:18 where "certain philosophers" said, "he seems to be a setter forth of strange gods".
Which brings us back to the story of Adam & Eve as living statements of humans not obeying, wanting to be as gods, lying, stealing, bearing false witness, coveting, murder, not honoring father and mother, sacrifice and adultery with the Serpent (1Jn 3:12)???
The "Experiment" in the Garden of Eden was successful for Satan's plan . . . . and continues. Reading Jn 8:44, "Ye are of your father, the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do." Therefore, cast off the works of darkness(soul) and put on the armor of light(Jesus). We are ALL the children of the light(Jesus), not of darkness(soul). [ 1Thes 5:5-11]
