WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SPIRIT OF A VERY YOUNG CHILD AFTER DEATH?

Should we be sad and grief stricken, or should we rejoice?

From physical earth earthly knowledge only, to those bereaved and sorrowing parents who have been blessed with children and lost them through some form of infant mortality, we cannot imagine anyone rejoicing at a time like that. Yet, there are some people that think they are made happy at the passing of that one who was an unwelcome member to the family. Yes there are those poor souls who will do almost anything to avoid an addition to the family. But, to the real mother and father who planned long prior to conception for the coming of a loved one to be in your midst, and then to lose that child by death only a year or two after its arrival, this chapter was written for you.

Yes, it is an unforgettable happening, and to those dear souls who know nothing about Life After Death, to mention rejoicing at the child's passing would be Sacrilegious. And to this type of person it is doubtful whether these teachings of Jesus concerning Life Eternal will heal their aching hearts. These are the people whom we hear saying, "Why did God do this to us?"

But we shall now attempt to comfort and/or prepare you for one of the saddest trials of earth life, and to give you sure grounds for understanding that that little one did not die but is being cared for by those who love to "Mother" children in a Realm where they are brought up to full maturity through Spiritual Education. The end result is that in that child's next embodiment, that child will enter into an earthly life with the right Karma (properly developed character or conscience) giving that child the best chance possible to continue in its Spiritual Evolution. Yes, it is the purpose of this Chapter to show you as clearly as possible that your loved one is not dead, but more alive than ever. Your child will attain all, and more than all you could have bestowed upon it if you had the wealth and the power of the whole world at your command.

Now that part: Should we rejoice at the early death of a child? From a standpoint of Spirit Life Knowledge, let us portray a child living a full life in an earth body and then that same child passing on at the tender age of one or two, and its life in the Realm of Spirit.

First, the earth child the Spirit of which usually comes from the Psychic or Lower Realms. (see the previous Little Book; "Why Mediumship Has No Value" for insight into the Psychic and Lower Realms).

When coming into the body, all of the child's past experiences come with it (which is termed Karma, or cause and effect) and with all that the child takes on all the hereditary conditions of both the parents, plus the building materials (thoughts) of the mother during gestation, both good and bad. Without recording his complete life, we see that little Spiritual progress was made as his Spirit passes out of an adult body.

Now let us look at the same child who passed on at one or two years of age.

If we parents were not selfish, and realized that we in the physical bodies are the producers of the child's physical body, and that once produced and taken over by the incoming Spirit, that that Spirit has its own life to live and has the power to rise above all hereditary Desires that the parents had planned for its entire physical life, which the Spirit, if strong enough and knows to a small degree what it came to earth for, casts the Desires of the parents aside and follows his own outlined plan to a satisfactory conclusion. Whereas a Spirit who cannot rise above, especially the mother's hereditary Desires, falls in line with her wishes for him and the purpose he came for, is sidetracked; which is the case of so many human failures.

So if we knew what takes place in the Spirit Realm at the passage of a small one, we really would rejoice. For when a baby or any one passes on there are those in Spirit who meet them and in the case of the babe they are taken to a place where they are cared for and Mothered by those of the Light. Then if they are old enough to remember, and long for the earthly parents, the Attendants of Light take them to their earthly house to be with their parents. But here is the sad part, the child that has been accustomed to loving attention from its earth parents cannot even attract their attention. Then THEY take the child back to the loving care of the Spiritual Teachers where the child is tenderly cared for and supplied with the most abundant and the most perfect means for the development of the child's faculties. There they teach that child the proper life to live, while providing security against all Psychic harms, and in due time that child is permitted to go to its earthly home alone, where that child sadly learns that its parents still know nothing about Spirit Life. The child tries in every way he knows, to commune with its parents, but they cannot see or hear him and so, back to the Spiritual School he goes. This is, indeed, a painful lesson, but as the apostle says, "our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." (there is also another way to take this statement). It naturally turns the thoughts of their parents back to themselves and to Spiritual Things and the Light of their God or Goddess self. In this Spiritual School they are only permitted to stay until they reach "the age of discretion" and then with love and kindly wishes they are placed on their own. Some Desire to stay in the School and assist in whatever way they can the newly arisen babies and children, while others go to their former earthly home and try to help impress and inspire their parents and relatives.

This Realm of Light, for the children, is under the supervision of the Blessed Ones and the teachers are all Guardian Angel Mothers of Love, and radiate a glow of soft pale pink or blue; some pink and some blue. What a different earth world this would be if all earth mothers were like these Mothers in charge of this Realm for Children.

Now as you read these words and learn these new Truths, the thoughts in your minds arise into "How can we know these statements are true?" The answer can only be given here in the briefest manner: BELIEVE in your Higher Self (the Father or Mother self if you are female); call out to your Higher Self to show forth its Light within your Soul when you practise the Spiritualization of Your Physical Consciousness. Lastly but not least, keep on keeping on trying to Spiritualize Your Physical Consciousness. REMEMBER, SEEK, KNOCK, ASK!

Do not limit the Divine purpose in the creation of children to life only in this world. The material body is only a temporary envelope; the swaddling clothes in which the infant Spirit is wrapped to serve as a protection against the hard conditions of the Psychic and Lower Realms while the Spirit is in this material existence.

These Beings who come to us as our children are not ours. We are only to care for them and love and cherish them as our own until they reach the Age of Discretion. We are to keep them from the ignorant and merciless Spirits of Darkness which are also incarnate and working out their own salvation. And above all, we are responsible for planting the seeds of Spirituality which shall grow into great trees bearing much fruit.

Remember, as we have seen from previous Chapters, these children died from the Spirit World to dwell here and from here they can be born into Life Eternal in the Light. What seems to us as Death, has been found to be an entrance into Life. Earth is the cemetery of Heaven. They can be taken from the cold sphere of this world and planted in the warmth of the Spirit World of Light where every faculty will unfold in order and harmony.

When children and infants pass over to the other side, they gain nothing by the transition. They are infants and children still. Oh, if you could only see your children in the arms of these Angelic Mothers all your concerns would vanish from your minds and there would be a great Peace come over you knowing that your children are in good hands. So why not Spiritualize Your Physical Consciousness and ask your Father or Mother on High and the other Blessed Ones of Light to give you these Experiences. For if you could see the other side of this event you call DEATH, you would see nothing of death, for that dear child of your heart is not lost, but saved. It is not dead, but more alive than ever.

Now, which child do you think will be the best fitted for future lives, the one who had a full physical life without any advancement, or the one who passed on early and received the Spiritual Teachings suitable to help that one proceed with the proper understanding of Spirit and Earth Life?

But what about that mother and father, and all mothers and fathers who have children and loved ones in the Spirit world who come and mingle with you in their old home, sit in their favourite chair, place their loving arms around your neck, kiss you on the cheek, worry over your worries and are sad because you cannot see and hear them? This is WHY Jesus wants His Words of Light, His Teachings UNDERSTOOD! So that you can apply the Instructions of "How To Spiritualize Your Physical Consciousness" and live a more abundant Life and maybe even enjoy communion with your departed loved ones. Jesus wants His Words of Love and Light to further your Spiritual Unfoldment while here in your temple of clay, the Temple of your God, that upon the resurrection, you may be where He is, helping ALL Humanity.

HOW DOES ONE IN EARTH BODY BECOME BORN AGAIN?

In the Italian Bible, John 3:5 - "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water (the Essence of Light) and of the spirit (Spiritual Desires) he cannot enter into the kingdom of God" (the abode of his or her God).

All new experiences, even in the body, are new births, but where do these impulses come from that cause this inspiration or urges us on into new experiences? Do we get these urges from floating thoughts in the ether (yes we can), or from Spirit Beings around us (yes, both good and evil spirits), or from our own physical consciousness (of course) or from the minds of others in the physical bodies (yes, thought transference). But WHERE SHOULD these impulses and urges and thoughts come from? Answer: Our Eternal Self!

Yes, from the Father, the impulses or thought words filter through the Soul to the physical, then a whole new birth comes to us as a physical new birth, one that benefits the Soul as well as the Body and helps us in such things as music, art, singing, inventions, etc. Then we passionately apply our time and effort to perfect that Desire and are crowned with success. Then something happens. A finger is broken, we lose our voice, or sickness develops. Then we begin to realize we have lost ourselves in our art to the exclusion of the source that gave us all. Then we begin to think and realize that earthly treasures are of the Physical and bring us not into what Jesus says, "Ye must be born again."

Jesus shows a picture parable of a large Church, a physical temple, and says, "Membership there does not furnish the `KEY' to unlock the Temple of each one which reveals the meaning of My words . . . Ye must be `born again' to see the Kingdom of your God" - Meaning, ye must be born of the Light, and it cannot be attained through membership in any church. He extends His hands to all who will listen and try, and says, "All children who travel that path must expect stony roads, causing physical feet harm, but there is always the Light that heals. There are roses on both sides of this pathway, but the stems with thorns project across the pathway making hard this roadway all must travel."

Thus again, DESIRE & EFFORT along Spiritual lines are the "Keys" to becoming "born again". When this stage of Unfoldment is reached you become a Spiritual PHYSICAL being instead of a PHYSICAL Spiritual being. Not only that, but you become A Child of The Light and truly fit into the words of Jesus to the apostles, "Ye are the Light of the World."

THE ECLIPSE OF THE SOUL BY THE BODY

In these Teachings of Jesus, the words on how to Spiritualize Your Physical Consciousness and find the Light Within can be found within all these Little Books (see front page for list of all the Little Books to date, and to come). In them, we are told that our own God, the Eternal Part of us is Brighter than the noon-day sun, and from that Light our own individualized God (or Goddess if you are female) created an auxiliary body of a much lower vibration to be breathed into a physical body as a representative of our God. But as previously described in this Little Book, it lost its Spiritual Consciousness when it was breathed into the physical body at birth, and therefore has to regain its Spiritual status through the Spiritual Knowledge acquired by the physical mind (by the physical consciousness Spiritualizing itself). Thus the spirit-soul body while in the physical body is subservient or subordinate to the physical consciousness, and not to the God Consciousness of us, unless our physical consciousness becomes aware of the Spiritual Knowledge of our individualized God self, and not just our spirit soul, and puts forth the EFFORT to SPIRITUALIZE its Physical Consciousness (by the "process" described within this Little Book) and becomes aware of, and at-one with the Light coming into our physical body from our God or Goddess, the Eternal Part of us.

You ask, why don't I or didn't I know of this God Part of me before? We answer, You did when you came into embodiment the first time, but then you lost your "at-one-ness" with that Higher part of you due to earthly attractions which drew your attentions to the things of earth. It was you who drew away from the Light and the at-one-ment with your God, and not your God from you. Yes, you have no one to blame but yourself. So, if you now want to return to the Consciousness of and at-one-ment with your God that you drew away from, that holy part of you, you must now put forth the EFFORT to again become "at-one" with IT. That can only be done by you now practising the Spiritualization of your Physical Consciousness. The "KEY" of HOW TO do that is recorded in this and all the Little Books under the Chapter Title - "How To Spiritualize Your Physical Consciousness". For this "Process" is what must be done sometime, somewhere, during your sojourns here on earth, if you want to be At-One with your God again in Heaven. (ie: you continue to re-carnate if you don't).

Your Spirit-Soul has only the consciousness of your physical consciousness, and its Light or Brilliance when out of the body, during sleep, shows forth only in the Light you have stored in your Spirit-Soul through the Spiritualization of YOUR Physical Consciousness whereby you gain acquisition of Spiritual Knowledge such as taught here by Jesus' words of Light in this Little Book and His other Little Books of Light and Love. Therefore, if you have made no attempt to Spiritualize Your Physical Consciousness, and have lived a normal good life without aspiring to Spiritual Knowledge, your Spirit-Soul Light will be dim. And if you have lived a degraded life, the Light of your Spirit-Soul will be very dim, and so on.

When you, while in the physical body, try to Spiritualize Your Physical Consciousness and have the DESIRE to reach into the Light of your God, that DESIRE and EFFORT automatically creates Light and is stored in the Spirit-Soul Part of you. Then those things you learn from the Light, is what Jesus refers to or calls Treasures of Heaven, because, by your spiritual-physical effort they become an everlasting part of your spirit-soul's consciousness. This is your Passport into that Realm of Spirit you have earned by your Efforts to Spiritualize your Physical Consciousness.

Many people think the spirit-soul has jurisdiction over the physical body, but please note Jesus' words - "As the outer mind (the physical consciousness) turns its attention inward, it opens by degrees the floodgates to the Father who is gladly waiting to pour into your physical consciousness (for expression) a constant flow of Eternal Truths that will feed the soul." Therefore as long as you live a physical life void of any DESIRES to attain Spiritual Unfoldment, the physical desires of your body will eclipse your spirit-soul from that Great Light Within; that Light that comes from your God. Your God must have the invitation, which is the Desire and Effort put forth by the Prodigal Son, who yes, through his efforts has indicated his Desire to return to "at-one-ment" and to the continual Service of the Light of his God.

This eclipse of the Spirit-Soul, by human desires, creates a sad state for ourself, and it is with all our DESIRE that we must put forth unlimited EFFORT to dissolve that eclipse and bring ourselves back again into our Light from which we strayed.

REMEMBER, THE SPIRIT NEVER SLEEPS

It is not our intention to give in this Little Book, or any of the other Little Books, the full description of the things possible for you to attain. If we did, it would be just more hearsay to you, the same as reading a fictional novel which you read during your spare moments and then cast aside and forget about it.

These Little Books of Jesus are for ONE PURPOSE ONLY and that is to lead you into the "HOW TO" of how to apply His words of Truth and Light unto "The Spiritualization of YOUR Physical Consciousness": which YOU must do to bring you into the first minor experiences of "at-one-ment" with the Light of your God. A thrill you never could have had by reading a full description of it.

By comparison it is just as different to one sitting in an audience listening to a great artist. Whom do you think derived the greatest satisfaction, the listener, or the artist? The artist of course, because he has worked and worked for the accomplishment of his goal and no one but he knows the glorious exhilaration he experiences, which he never would have experienced had he just read about it or listened to some other artist singing the same role.

In every walk of life it is the same. We aspire to excel for our own satisfaction. Yes, in every field of endeavour it is the same, and it is the achievement that brings the satisfaction and that is just what Jesus wants of you. He points the way and gives the "key of instruction" on how to attain the first conscious Spiritual Unfoldment which will give to you a sublime feeling never before experienced. Each rung that you climb of the Spiritual Ladder toward your God will bring to you new experiences of joy, peace, and happiness which never could have been experienced or enjoyed by the mere reading of the same experience as described by another.

And so, again we see the Wisdom of our elder brother Jesus, trying to lead humanity into High Spiritual attainments by directing into Spiritual ambitions the same energy and formula used by us in our worldly DESIRES to reach the pinnacle of fame which is enjoyed by the human part of us to which credit is given, whereas in Spiritual Unfoldment, all credit is rightfully given to the Light Within, our God or Goddess.

You may think in your earthly mind that you are devoting too much time to your Spiritual Unfoldment, and are losing to a competitor the highly desirable top ranking office you had hoped to attain. However, when you get on the other side, in the Spirit World, you will find that ranking office was a treasure of earth and the same one that beat you to the job is now in Spirit, and if you investigate from the Spirit side of life, you will find he or she is bound to that position even in spirit, whereas you are free by reason of the Knowledge of Life After Death.

Many cannot understand the binding of Spirit to earthly activities, especially honourable and honest pursuits. There is no Spirit Law that causes or requires this. It is merely the physical attachment to which the Spirit was a part, and now, without the body, still has the same DESIRES, but not having been aware of or trained to anything besides its earthly duties, there is where it will be in the day time and at the old home at night until it adjusts itself to Spirit Life and finds new interests.

Remember that the Spirit never sleeps, and this gives it more opportunities to progress Spiritually or to bind itself closer to activities of the earth until its earthly DESIRES become so strong that reimbodiment takes place. So HARKEN to Jesus' words of Light and Love and prepare yourself to atleast some degree before you take that inevitable step into the Spirit World which we ALL must take some time.
